Infrastructure site for logistics hub in Northern Europe
Lighting for continuous work in complex environmental conditions for the expansion of an important logistics hub in the Scandinavian countries.
Setting
The infrastructure construction site, dedicated to the creation of a logistics hub, operated on a double shift in a context characterized by low temperatures (down to -20°C), poor natural light, and a constant presence of heavy machinery. The material handling and excavation activities required reliable lighting to ensure safety and continuity in operations over an operational area of over 25,000 sqm.
Need
It was necessary to replace obsolete lighting systems with lighting towers for construction sites capable of illuminating large operational areas, with an even distribution of light even during nighttime. The system had to adapt to the different phases of the construction site, ensuring ease of positioning, stability on uneven ground, and consistent performance for work shifts of up to 12–16 consecutive hours.
Solution
To meet the needs of the construction site, 6 Fenix MultiLED 4x320W lighting towers were used, with a total luminous flux of over 170,000 lumens per unit, distributed in the main operational areas. Each tower provided coverage of up to 4,000–5,000 sqm, ensuring uniform and adjustable lighting, which allowed work to continue even during nighttime hours. The stabilizers ensured stable use even on uneven surfaces, while the site-tow trailer configuration allowed for quick repositioning based on the progress of the construction work.
